Orlana Morrison Schmidt
Orlana has been selected to study science at Georgetown University with some leading science professors for a 10-week stay in Wash. D.C. this year.
She will be learning how to do in-depth research, presentations, and learn new techniques on writing for science research...and will have enrichment opportunities, touring the National Museum of the American Indian, and other science-focused sites, developing peer networks from around the country, all while working one-on-one with the nations leading scientist as they serve as mentors during this process of learning...
A round of applause for Orlana as she furthers her education and reaches for the stars! She goes out of her way to learn and bring her knowledge and skills back to share with her community.
